Focused Psychological Services Fees
For organizations (case consultations with staff or assessments or therapy for clients):
The hourly rates for direct and indirect contact are $250.00 for assessment and $220.00 for therapy. The rates for attendance at court to present expert witness testimony are $1,300.00 for half-day and $2,600.00 for a full day.
- Billing can also occur in 10-minute increments for services done outside the therapy hour such as phone calls, letters, and the like calculated at one-sixth the hourly rate for every 10 minutes. Incremental billings are also appropriate for services provided beyond a 60-minute session.
- Indirect contact includes but is not limited to: studying documentation on file, studying police reports and criminal records, seeking police reports or court reports that are critical and missing from case management records (if any), analyzing data from risk assessments, and writing reports.
- There is no HST for services from a psychologist. Payment is due on the day of service.
- Work will be agreed to, in writing, by both parties prior to commencement.
For clients in conflict with the law:

- Indirect contact includes but is not limited to: consultation with your lawyer (minimum of 10 minute increments), communication with your collateral contacts (with your informed consent), seeking police reports or court reports that are critical and missing from case management records (if any), analysis of assessment data, studying written exercises completed by the client, writing of reports, participation in virtual meetings with your case management team, and preparation for attendance at court.
- Clients are responsible for purchasing the workbook(s) recommended. They need to cover the cost of mailing their workbooks to Focused Psychological Services using a trackable secure method. Workbooks will be returned at no expense to clients using a secure method.
- There is no HST for services from a psychologist. Payment is due on the day of service.
- Work will be agreed to, in writing, by both parties prior to commencement.
